Back in 2020, Samsung launched the Galaxy A51 smartphone with Android 10-based One UI 2.1 pre-installed. It is one of the Galaxy devices that are eligible for three-generations of Android OS upgrades even after it doesn’t belong to the flagship segment.

Last month, the Korean tech giant released the stable Android 11 update with One UI 3.0 to the Galaxy A51 users, which was the first major software update for these handsets. Now, the OEM started sending a new One UI update to the A51 owners, which brings plenty of features and optimizations.

Identified via release number A515FXXU4EUC8, the latest firmware update for the Galaxy A51 models comes with One UI 3.1 features and April 2021 security patch. However, it is currently rolling out in select markets including Russia, and will soon be available for more regions in the coming days.

Samsung’s One UI 3.1 update comes with a bunch of new features and major system improvements like Eye Comfort Shield, Object Eraser, Private Share, Samsung Free, Google Duo integration with stock dialer app, buds Auto-Switching, ability to remove location data before sharing, and more for select Galaxies.
