[U] Exynos 2600 leak suggests big boost for Galaxy S26 performance

Tipster @OreXda has just shared a correction on X (Twitter) about an earlier post regarding the Exynos 2600 chip. In the original post, there was an error in the Geekbench score estimate because the calculation was based on a 10% production yield, which was incorrect.
The updated post now uses the correct 40% yield, which matches Samsung’s current 2nm chip production. With this correction, the Exynos 2600’s Geekbench 6 scores are now reported as around 2950 for single-core and 10,200 for multi-core. Performance scores for 3DMark and GFXBench remain the same as previously shared.
June 17
Samsung has already started working on its next S series, the Galaxy S26, and it might use a brand-new processor – the Exynos 2600. According to early leaks, the Exynos 2600 chip could bring a big boost in speed and power compared to the one in the Galaxy S24.
A reliable tipster @OreXda has shared some details about this upcoming Samsung processor. The Exynos 2600 is said to be built using 2nm technology, which is more efficient than before. It may have two powerful Cortex-X cores and six Cortex-A cores.
In early test results on Geekbench, the Exynos 2600 could score around 2400 in single-core and 9400 in multi-core tests. That means it could be about 20% faster in single-core and 15% faster in multi-core performance than the Exynos 2400.
Moreover, the Xclipse 960 GPU looks promising. It may score 5,800 in 3DMark Wild Life Extreme, and reach 85 frames per second in the GFXBench Aztec Ruins test. This means smoother graphics and better gaming on the phone.
If these things are true, the Galaxy S26 could be much faster and better for gaming than previous models. Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but the Galaxy S26 is expected to launch in early 2026. We’ll likely hear more about the Exynos 2600 and Galaxy S26 series in the coming months.

Galaxy Z Flip7 could ditch Snapdragon for bold Exynos-only strategy

Samsung is planning a big change for its upcoming Galaxy Z Flip7. This year, the company may be bringing the Exynos-only strategy for the Galaxy Z Flip7 smartphone.
This means that instead of using both Qualcomm’s Snapdragon and its own Exynos chips, the company may only use the Exynos 2500 chip in all Flip7 models. This would be the first time a Galaxy Z Flip phone uses only Exynos globally.
Now, you might be wondering why Samsung would do this. Well, the Exynos 2500 chip is made with very advanced 3nm technology, which is great for performance and power efficiency. But here’s the catch as making these chips is tricky.
Right now, the yield rate for Exynos 2500 is reportedly around 30%, whereas a yield rate typically needs to exceed 60% to be considered suitable for mass production. So, it’s a risky choice.
Even though there are risks, Samsung sees this as a chance to gain more experience making advanced chips and to improve future models. The company is also developing a more stable version of the Exynos 2500 to avoid problems like overheating.
Another reason for this move is to reduce Samsung’s dependence on Qualcomm. Snapdragon chips are getting more expensive every year, putting pressure on Samsung’s smartphone profits. By using more Exynos chips, Samsung can save money and have more control over its supply.
There’s also a concern that if the Exynos chip doesn’t work well or gets too hot, it could cause performance issues or customer dissatisfaction. Since Samsung plans to ship around 5 million units of the Flip7 and Fold7 combined, this is definitely a big gamble.
Looking ahead, Samsung hopes that this experience will help them with their future chips, especially the new Exynos 2600, which will use even smaller 2nm technology for the Galaxy S26 next year. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see if this bold move pays off.

Rumor: Samsung’s bold battery breakthrough is in the works

Samsung is in urgent need to ramp up its mobile battery game with a bold breakthrough. The company thinks calmly when it comes to Galaxy’s battery and charging tweaks, as the Galaxy Note 7 memories haven’t faded away from consumers’ minds.
Leaker PandaFlashPro shared some juicy information about Samsung’s plans to explore mobile battery innovation. The source shed light on the Samsung objectives to bring a Galaxy battery breakthrough, with the deployment isn’t likely to happen soon.
Samsung is testing new battery types like silicon-carbon and solid-state. These could pack more power into smaller spaces, giving your phone a longer life. But don’t expect them in stores yet, as the company is playing it safe after past hiccups.
Rumors hint that silicon-carbon batteries might power the Galaxy S26, boosting capacity big time. Solid-state batteries could hit wearables by late 2025, then maybe smartphones later. These could be safer and last longer.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra may retain a 5000mAh battery with the legacy solution. If the company implements silicon carbon tech, the capacity would be raised by nearly 500mAh, giving a decent boost in the same cell size.

For now, the Galaxy S25 Edge uses something called Battery AI. It’s a clever software trick that stretches battery life by 5-10% by managing apps in the background. No slowdowns, just better endurance for your phone.
Samsung’s Agentic AI Battery trick seemingly worked well on the Galaxy S25 Edge. Recent rumors suggest the company plans to expand this feature to the Galaxy S25 and S24 series with the Android 16-based One UI 8 software update.
Note that Samsung hasn’t confirmed its battery plans or Battery AI feature. The information has come out only from credible leakers. We would get to know Samsung’s plans on software enhancements at the July Unpacked.

Name of Samsung’s budget Flip phone all but confirmed

Samsung’s naming mystery for the first budget Flip phone is almost confirmed. In a recent development, an unreleased Galaxy phone with model number SM-F761B has been spotted on NBTC certification, confirming the marketing term.
As spotted by 91Mobiles, Samsung’s SM-F761B is called Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, the first budget Flip phone. There were speculations about the device’s marketing name, but it’s now apparently confirmed to be the Z Flip 7 FE.
Tagging the Fan Edition along with the usual model indicates that Samsung will bring more Fan Edition flip phones in the future. It would also enhance the budget foldable’s sales potential, putting it closer to its parent model.
NBTC is a necessary certification that ensures the product launch in Thailand. Earlier, the Samsung device was spotted on the BIS of India and the FCC authority of the United States, solidifying its debut in those markets too.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE – Rumored Specs
There’s a lot of buzz regarding the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7. However, no one’s talking heavily about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Based on the previous leaks and rumors, here’s what potential buyers can expect from the Flip 7 FE.
The smartphone could be powered by Exynos 2400 under the hood. Samsung debuted this 4nm chipset with the Galaxy S24 and S24+, which offers decent performance and seamless multitasking as well as fine power efficiency.
It’s also expected that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE could boot Android 16-based One UI 8. The storage configurations may be 128GB and 256GB, with RAM that could be capped at 8GB, mimicking the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s specifications.

Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 to get stunning visual upgrade with S25-like wallpaper glow

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 could feature a striking wallpaper glow effect for the lock screen to home screen transition. The S25 series offers seamless transition from lock to home, and the same experience would be seen on the next foldables.
Leaker PandaFlashPro revealed that Samsung equipped the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 with “7” style wallpaper, which integrates seamless transition and glow effects for switching the view from lock screen to home screen.
The source mentioned a “smooth glow” transition between the lock screen and the home screen. This is something Samsung has introduced in the S25 series earlier this year. Based on One UI 8, the new glow animation would feel even better and reliable.
The Galaxy S25 series debuted unique “S” style wallpapers. The pictures are crafted keeping in mind a seamless glow effect. Similarly, the next-gen foldables will feature special “7” number style wallpapers with smooth glow animations.
Samsung is already teasing Ultra experiences in its upcoming devices. The Fold 7, in particular, is getting a larger screen and a 200MP camera. Galaxy AI would also feature a notable boost, built on the new One UI 8 with Android 16.
Samsung has released three official teasers, hyping the Fold model. Reports say the Galaxy Z Flip FE would also be unveiled alongside. The Galaxy Flip7 is set to launch with an Exynos 2500 chip and a Moto Razr-like full-view screen.
The Galaxy Unpacked event could be held in mid-July this year. Recent developments point to a potential event around July 13. The venue would be New York, as Samsung is eyeing foldable expansion in the United States.
