Samsung should provide Galaxy A52, A72’s Snapchat AR Lenses to more Galaxy phones via firmware update
After months of leaks and rumors, Samsung has officially launched three new smartphones under its A-series, the Galaxy A52, Galaxy A52 5G, and Galaxy A72. These are the first mid-rangers from the company that comes with flagship-grade camera capabilities such as Optical Zoom, Space Zoom, OIS, Pro Video mode, and more.
You can shoot vivid and crisp photos and videos easily with the Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A72’s massive 64MP high-resolution camera. Furthermore, you can also instantly convert your favorite moments from 4K video to 8MP high-resolution images with the 4K Video Snap.
Alongside this, Scene Optimizer uses AI to shoot with the best settings for 30 categories of images and backgrounds (such as food, scenery, and pets). All three models come with a 32MP front camera for selfies.
Optical image stabilization assures pictures and videos come out sharp and steady. And there’s no need to miss an important moment anymore in low lighting conditions because of the Night mode that uses multi-frame processing, resulting in a bright and crisp image even in the dark.
Other than these impressive camera features, Samsung and Snapchat together worked to offer a bunch of AR Lenses and filters to the Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 in the stock Camera application. To enable this function, users have to choose the Fun Mode in the built-in Camera app where you will find around 16 different AR Lenses from Snapchat.
This bold move lets the Galaxy A52/A71 owners use Snapchat filters with the native Camera app without switching to third-party applications to get amazing filters. On the other hand, it was found that while the user takes images directly through Snapchat, the quality of the captured image doesn’t meet the expectation of the users they want.
Therefore, the integration of Snapchat filters with Samsung Camera now offers filtered images with higher resolution. Moreover, users will also be able to adjust the aspect ratio and timer settings alongside recording videos with Snapchat filters.
Snapchat is a famous application that offers several filters to get the best picture of oneself. However, the Snapchat effects are exclusively available with the Galaxy A52/52 5G and Galaxy A72 devices. It is worth mentioning that some of the features from flagships were already provided to mid-range and budget phones like Single Take, Night Hyperlapse, etc.

In addition to camera lovers, people prefer buying a smartphone, which offers great battery life without compromising features and power specifications. In the same way, Samsung is reportedly working, and there’s still room for improvements in flagships battery life.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra could come with a new battery technology inspired by electronic vehicles. The company is considering stacked battery technology for smartphones, which will reduce the size keeping the same mAh and enhanced lifespan.
Since the stacked battery tech could leave more gap inside the phone, Samsung might not think about increasing mAh on flagship phones. Instead, the company may use an additional vacant area for upgrading other hardware elements and better placement.
The S23 Ultra even defeated the years-old leader iPhone in terms of battery performance, thanks to the “Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy” processor. Exynos 2400 is reportedly coming to the S24 series in certain markets, which re-creates concern about the phone’s battery life and performance.
That said, Samsung should focus on increasing premium Galaxy phones’ battery life so users can use them longer with a single charge. 45W fast charging is doing quite well, just improvements to battery life would prove as cherry on the cake.
