
Samsung releases March 2021 security update for the Galaxy S9 in India
Samsung has recently clarified its new four-year security update plan for the Galaxy devices. As per the news, the company will deliver only two security patches to the eligible Galaxy phones/tablets in the extended fourth year. However, the flagship and enterprise models will get new patches on monthly basis for two years after the initial release. Read in detail
Alongside this, the South Korean tech giant is continuously sending new security updates to the eligible Galaxies without forgetting their schedules. Following this episode, Samsung’s older and popular flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have started receiving the March 2021 security update in India.
Identified via firmware versions: G965FXXSFFUB3 and G960FXXSFFUB3 for the Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy S9 respectively, this update comes with a package size of just 118MB. Other than the new security improvements, this FOTA doesn’t bring any new features or optimizations.
