Good Lock is a cool function offering from Samsung that lets users customize the user interface of the One UI. It includes different modules and applications to allow changing the One UI as their own creativity.
However, the Good Lock is available for every Galaxy flagship and select mid-range smartphones. In addition, the Korean tech giant has also released the 2021 version of the Good Lock which presents a new UI, better customization options, and many more.
It is worth noting, the Good Lock 2021 only available for the eligible devices running on Android 11-based One UI 3.0 or higher. Meanwhile, some Galaxy Note 9 owners reported having issues with the Good Lock and some of its modules.
In contrast, a Galaxy Note 9 user reported his concerns on the official community forum. According to the user, the Good Lock doesn’t allow using a high-quality GIF file. When the user wants to use a GIF file of around 7MB to 8MB, the app prompts its force closure.
Following the concerns, the Good Lock moderator said, “for the forced shutdown of Good Lock, a log is required for accurate cause analysis.” Besides, the affected users can send the log via error sending which can be found at the bottom of the Samsung Members app + button, then tap on Send error >> Send log.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 9 is not eligible to get the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 upgrade that’s why they are currently running on the Android 10-based One UI 2.5 version. We can expect, the company will soon deliver a fix OTA for these smartphones to solve the Good Lock issues.
