Samsung‘s smartphone cameras capable of capturing stunning HDR landscapes and low light portraits have reached the stage of producing pro-grade photos. Today’s smartphone cameras combine multiple lenses and deliver stunning images with the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence.
Recently, a well-known tipster Ice Universe revealed new products about image sensors, announced the forthcoming release of a new Samsung ISOCELL image sensor of record resolution.
Samsung ISOCELL will launch many innovative sensors in 2021.
200MP is coming soon.
— Ice universe (@UniverseIce) January 9, 2021
Like Samsung’s first image sensor with Tetracell and Dual pixel technologies, the ISOCELL is designed to allow users to take professional-grade quality images in any environment with ultra-fast autofocusing comparable to DSLR cameras.
According to the latest information, this year Samsung will release several innovative image sensors for smartphones. And very soon the first smartphones will appear on the market, which will be equipped with 200-megapixel image sensors.
Considering that 108MP image sensors, which became especially popular last year, is related to many 100MP sensors, we can assume that the real resolution of Samsung’s 200MP sensor will be 216MP.

Colorful Galaxy Z Fold 3, Flip 3 coming on October 20, courtesy of Samsung Unpacked Part 2
Recently, Samsung has confirmed that it will be hosting a new virtual event entitled “Galaxy Unpacked Part 2” on October 20. Although the company hasn’t yet clarified what we’ll see on stage next week, Samsung today released a teaser video for the Galaxy Unpacked 2. This suggests that the event will focus on the idea of making your smartphone your own with foldable devices and a wide range of color options.
However, there is no clear mention of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 or the Galaxy Z Flip 3. However, the title should be a big enough clue that the October 20th event will be focused on Samsung’s new folding phone. Perhaps, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will get a new range of color options or a dedicated studio where customers can mix and match the colors of a variety of appearances.
Whereas, the teaser video is completely CGI and depicts three unique creatures in what appears to be a paint factory, a Glass Studio. They feature a large palette of colors on a large display, and they come together in new colors by playing with different buttons and spears. A short CGI sequence is followed by the caption “Get ready to unfold something unmistakably you.”
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are released in a few colors, and customers in selected markets can opt for a special color combination when ordering a call online via Samsung’s website. Maybe Samsung will expand on this idea further.
