Last year on November 25, Samsung announced two budget-friendly smartphones, they are Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02. At the time of the announcement, the company did not disclose the launch date and price of these new devices.
According to the information, the Galaxy A12 will be available in Singapore from January 9, 2021, priced around $172 for the 4/128GB variant while $230 for the UK.
In addition, the Samsung Galaxy A12 with 6/128 GB of memory costs around $ 200 in Malaysia. The company offers the device in a variety of colors including Cosmic Black, White, and Cosmic Blue.
Samsung Galaxy A12 Specifications:
The company has launched the Galaxy A12 as the successor to the Galaxy A11. It comes with a 6.5-inch TFT HD+ infinity-V display and powered by MediaTek Helio P35 Octa-core processor.
Talking about camera specs, Samsung Galaxy A12 equips a quad-camera setup with a 64MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP camera for depth with an LED flash. It has an 8MP camera in front for selfies.
This device sports a 5,000mAh large battery that can be charged with up to 15W fast charging. For security, this phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Samsung Unpacked 2022 website confirms Galaxy S22 launch on February 9
Samsung Galaxy S22 has grabbed all the headlines of many other products as its launch is just around the corner. Last week, Samsung officially confirmed that it will announce the most awaited Galaxy S22 series in February. But when in February?
Multiple launch dates about the Galaxy S22 launch are surfing online. Some claim it’s February 8 while others say it’s February 9. Meanwhile, a reliable tipster named TechInsider has appeared with some additional details on the Galaxy S22 launch.

The tipster has shared a screenshot that unveils that Samsung’s ‘Get Ready to Break the Rules’ event will start at 15:00 UTC on February 9. He also says that this Galaxy Unpacked event will be virtual and people can watch it on Samsung’s official website.
Furthermore, TechInsider also reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S22 series will be available to purchase on February 25. Whereas, its pre-reservation and pre-booking will start between February 14 to 21 and February 21 to 24, respectively.

2022 Samsung A phones to equip MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip, stronger than Galaxy S22’s Exynos 2200
A few days back, Samsung announced the Exynos 2200 flagship chipset that will debut alongside the upcoming Galaxy S22 series smartphones. However, a tipster has recently revealed important information regarding the upcoming Galaxy A series phones.
According to the Twitter post by tipster IceUniverse, select Samsung Galaxy A series devices may use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 chipset. The source pointed out that the Dimensity 9000 chip is stronger than the Exynos 2200 in terms of CPU, GPU, NPU, and other aspects.
Aside from this, the same source disclosed that the first batch of manufacturers that will use the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 includes Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus, Realme, Vivo, and Motorola. However, it is also said that select Galaxy A phones will use Samsung’s own Exynos chips.

MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip comes with TSMC’s 4nm process + Armv9 architecture combination alongside having a high-performance Cortex-X2 core. Based on Armv9 architecture, Cortex-X2 brings 35% better performance and 37% more power efficiency.
