Samsung improving Galaxy S9’s Quick Take camera feature along with December security patch

Samsung Galaxy S9 series smartphones are now receiving a new firmware update in South Korea. It can be identified via build versions: G960NKSU3FTK1 and G965NKSU3FTK1 for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ respectively.

However, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ are not eligible to get the Android 11 based One UI 3.0, but the company satisfying these device users by providing regular security updates each month.

The changelog for this update mentions, various system function improvements for the call and message app. Moreover, it also brings enhancements to the Quick Take feature of the system camera app.

Samsung has initially added a “Quick Take” feature to the camera app for the Galaxy S20 series that shoots pictures from all the camera lenses of the phone at the same time, then, the user can choose which picture they like to save. Later, the company has provided this feature for its various devices.

Samsung has finally begun rolling out the October 2023 security update for Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones. These fifth-generation foldables are the first ones to get the latest patch.

October 2023 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphones can be identified through One UI builds versions F731USQS1AWI3 and F946USQS1AWI3 respectively. The update is currently available for locked models on the Verizon network in the US.

The company will soon expand this update to more Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 models. Other Galaxy smartphones and tablets are also expected to receive the October 2023 security update in the following days or weeks.
