December 2020 security patch rolling out for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 in Canada
Samsung is now rolling out a new software update for its second-generation foldable smartphone – Galaxy Z Fold 2 in Canada. This device has already started receiving the latest One UI security patch globally, a few days ago.
According to the latest info, the South Korean tech giant is now expending the December 2020 security patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 phones in more regions. Several carrier-locked Galaxy Z Fold 2 devices are now receiving this new update via OTA in Canada.

The latest security patch brings system security improvements and fixes 2 Critical, and 18 High levels exploits and CVEs for a better user experience. It also enhances system features to increase their performance.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2
This firmware update can be identified via build version F916WVLS1ATK2, and ready to install on your Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. To check for the update manually, just head to device Settings, scroll down to the Software updates option and select it, finally tap on Download and install.
One UI 3.0 Beta:
Samsung has already started One UI 3.0 beta testing for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 devices in South Korea. The One UI 3.0 beta program is a way to start experiencing the exciting new features of the One UI 3.0 before its public release.
One UI 3.0 Stable:
Aside from the beta testing, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 will get the stable Android 11 based One UI 3.0 update starting January next year.

Samsung has begun releasing the October 2024 security update for Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones. The update is rolling out in the US and the company will soon make it available in more countries.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series are getting the October 2024 security update in the US through One UI builds given below.
- Galaxy S23 – S911USQS4CXI4
- Galaxy S23 Plus – S916USQS4CXI4
- Galaxy S23 Ultra – S918USQS4CXI4
The fresh update brings fixes for some issues that users encountered in previous versions to make your Galaxy S23 more stable and secure. The installation package size of this update is around 400MB.
