Samsung SSD upgrade in medium-sized companies for significant savings and profit
SSD (Solid State Drive) used for storing data in a much better way. Likewise, Samsung SSD is different from Hard Disk Drive functions. It is much like those small USB memory stick that use microchips to store data and it does not have any READ/WRITE head like HDD. This difference makes SSD much faster and a preferable product to use on PC.
Similarly, the small and medium enterprises can significantly increase their savings and profits by constantly upgrading their existing workstation computers with more powerful SSD memory.
The SSD storage can not only significantly extend the device life cycle of hardware and thus the interval between new purchases. This potential for increasing profits because employees work more efficiently because their devices save and process faster.

PCs and laptops are the most widely used end devices in the workplace, from which high performance can be expected. Only 6% of SMEs use high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) for storage on their company computers.
Although a large segment already uses both technologies, and only 35% of them are primarily or exclusively equipped with traditional hard disk drives (HDDs).
This change will cost IT managers, a one-time cost per device, and in the long run innovation will have a positive impact on the time resources of IT professionals. The high performance of SSDs reduces the number of employee queries due to performance issues and thereby reduces administrative effort in operation.
Investment Return (ROI) justifies the financial investment in SSD technology: the profits from SSD are 29 times higher than the actual investment in new storage technology.
In contrast to conventional HDDs, SSDs have no rotating disks or moving parts. The storage medium is correspondingly more rigid, better at dealing with vibrations, and less likely to wear and tear parts.
The one-time expenses consist of the hardware (e.g. Samsung 870 QVO for 107.13 € / RRP, as of September 2020, incl. 16% VAT) and the migration and implementation costs of 100 € / pc. together. You can find the full report here.

Google Messages adds waveforms to Voice Recorder UI

Google Messages is getting a new look for its voice recorder UI. The microphone icon in the text field will change to a waveform icon, which is different from the voice typing button in Gboard.
Instead of holding down the mic to record, you will now see a panel with a start/stop button and options to cancel, delete, or attach the recording. You will also see a waveform and a timer while recording, and you can play back the recording before sending it.
The voice messages preview will also show a waveform between the play/pause button and the timer, making it more noticeable than the current straight line.
These changes are not widely available yet, but some users have reported seeing them on their phones. These new changes are part of a bigger redesign that Google is working on for Messages, which includes a revamped home screen that is still in beta testing. Google might announce new features soon.
