Recently, we’ve heard a lot of leaks and rumors regarding the upcoming devices of Samsung. As reported previously, the company is planning to launch the Galaxy S21 series flagship smartphones in early next year. Not that all, some leaks also arrived for the upcoming foldable smartphone of Samsung, the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Now we have exciting information about these upcoming devices.
According to AjuNews, Samsung has confirmed the release of its upcoming foldable smartphone that could be named the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It will launch in June 2021 and the company has started developing final samples for mass production. Adding to this, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will become the most premium smartphone of Samsung having the advanced technologies of the company like S Pen and Under Display Camera.
The report further claimed that the upcoming Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be equipped with the unique feature of the Note series, S Pen. By adding S Pen support to these phones, the company indicating that the Note series will be discontinued.
The South Korean tech giant arranged lots of efforts to apply the S Pen to the Fold series devices. To add the S Pen to the upcoming foldable smartphone Samsung Display and its subsidiary Dowoo Insys developed ultra-thin glass (UTG) technology by replacing transparent polyimide (CPI) film. After changing from plastic to tempered glass, the number of folds and unfolds remained the same.
Previous reports also reveal that Samsung is all set to destroy the precious Note series by putting the Fold series in its mainstream. The user experience will be increased with the large screen of the Fold series with the support of S Pen.
Adding to this, Samsung also working to place Under Display Camera to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 to provide a true full-screen experience like a tablet PC. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Fold arrived with a notch display and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes with a hole punch camera design.
The Under Display Camera (UDC) is an innovative technology that lets to take pictures without a camera hole by placing a camera sensor under the OLED screen. Even, Samsung Display plans to apply a special technology that allows light to pass through and take pictures by spreading the gap between pixels in the part where the front camera is placed.
Still, installing UDC has a technical difficulty of declining the quality of screens and photos, then if the final result adversely affects the user experience, it may be excluded from the actual Galaxy Z Fold 3 mass production.

iPhone 15 Pro could feature 2500 nits display, courtesy of Samsung
Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro uses the world’s brightness display, which peaks at 2000 nits outdoors. Meanwhile, a rumor indicates that Samsung is crafting an even brighter display panel for the iPhone 15 Pro lineup, which could peak up to 2500 nits.
The recently leaked information from two sources hints that Samsung is making a next-gen display panel, which could reach 2500 nits. On February 1st, the Galaxy S23 Ultra has launched by Samsung which uses a 1750 nits display panel, similar to vanilla and Plus.
Meanwhile, the tipster also stated that “And still I dunno it’s M13,” which would be two generations after the M11, which is used in the Galaxy S23 series. Besides, in the quoted Tweet, the source claimed that it “Potentially will be on iPhone 15 Pro Max.”
I said 15 Pro Max because if the separate Ultra iPhone is in 2024,the biggest 2023 Pro iPhone should still have the Pro Max naming.
— ShrimpApplePro 🍤 Vtuber (@VNchocoTaco) February 7, 2023
It’s worth mentioning that the Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max feature a typical maximum brightness of 1000 nits, which increases up to 1600 nits of peak brightness for HDR content, and 2000 nits of peak brightness for outdoor usage.
It is bad to see that the Galaxy flagship line is lagging behind from iPhone even after having its own display manufacturing unit. Everyone expected that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have an, even more, brighter display than the iPhone 14 Pro, but, it didn’t happen.
