Samsung’s Good Lock app surely has different modules to let to maximize the experience of your Galaxy smartphone, one of these modules includes the NavStar. This Good Lock module, let you create your own navigation bar.

NavStar allows you to reorganize the order for back, home, and recent apps. Some Galaxy users have reported a recurring issue with the Samsung LockStar app, where notifications regarding the app’s status and editing options are unexpectedly displayed. This issue continues even when the camera is activated from the lock screen, which leads to an interruption in the user experience.

Samsung is already aware of the issue and a community moderator has confirmed that pop-ups initiated by activating the Lockstar shortcut are not behaving as expected.

The company has apologized for the inconvenience caused by this error and assured users that a resolution is coming with future app updates.

Recently, users encountered an issue with the LockStar app, where the Always On Display (AOD) preview does not match the actual display after the setting. This difference is particularly noticeable with the size of the notification icon.

One UI 6.1’s LockStar app update adds advanced AOD editing and brightness options

Samsung LockStar Good Lock module is receiving a fresh update with version 6.1.0.11 for One UI 6.1 devices. The update comes with two new features for Always On Display to enhance the lock screen customization.

The new update of the Samsung LockStar app brings the Edit AOD function for more personalized settings. In addition, it introduces a manual brightness slider for AOD, offering users the ability to adjust the display brightness manually.

To access these two new features, users must update their Always On Display (AOD) to version v8.7.99.11 or later. This latest version is compatible with devices that have been upgraded to Android 14-based One UI 6.1.

However, it’s important to note that these functions are not available on devices with a full-screen AOD, such as the Galaxy S24. Meanwhile, other Galaxy devices including Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, Flip 5 and more can enjoy these features.

Users can get this update via Galaxy Store >> Menu option >> Updates. If you are using a Galaxy device running One UI 6.1, you can enjoy these two new features after installing the latest update.

Aside from this, Samsung plans to improve the widget placement and size adjustment on the lock screen through a new update on One UI 6.1 devices. This will provide even more control over their lock screen layout.

The fresh update of Samsung Wonderland introduces a new lock screen effect named “Fluid”. This new addition will bring a fresh and interactive feel to the lock screen, allowing users to enjoy a more personalized and attractive interface.
