Samsung Galaxy Fit 2 smartband receives new update with several improvements

Samsung is rolling out a new update for its Galaxy Fit 2 smart band. This new firmware for the smart band brings several improvements and optimizations. The update for the Galaxy Fit 2 comes with the build version R220XXU1ATK5 and a download size of 0.70MB.

According to the changelog, it fixes a bug that was found while changing the clock screen after the screen turns off during timer operation, motion recognition is now optimized when stopping or resuming exercise and the vibration notification has been removed.

Furthermore, the update made improvements in the vibrations, making them longer than earlier. And lastly the update also brings stability and reliability in the smartband for better user experience.

To check for the update for the Galaxy band:

  • Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your mobile
  • Tap Home
  • Go to Update band software option
  • Then, tap on Download and install
