Samsung adds Google Assistant feature to its smart TVs

Samsung has recently announced that the Google Assistant will be available to the Samsung Smart TVs alongside the Bixby and Amazon Alexa. The Google Assistant is now fully integrated into the Samsung Smart TV’s and there’s is no need for any additional download, hardware, or installation.

With the Google Assistant, Alexa, and Bixby, Samsung Smart TVs will have a wide range of voice assistant options. Users can now more easily browse channels, adjust volume, control playback, open apps, and more.

The viewers will also have access to Google services like Google search, Photos, Maps, Calendar, and more. Users can add another hub to any room in the house with Samsung Smart TVs which can now be used to control the lights, set the thermostat, set an alarm, or perform any other tasks under the command of a household’s existing voice assistant.

The Google Assistant can be accessed in all 2020 4K and 8K QLED TVs, Crystal UHD TVs, The Frame, The Serif, The Sero, and The Terrace, and is compatible with viewers’ existing voice assistant ecosystems.

The Google Assistant functionality is currently available in select countries including UK, France, Germany, Italy, and will expand out to 12 countries by the end of the year.
