Verizon pushed October 2020 security update for Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series devices already received the November 2020 security patch update at the starting of this month. Now, one of the top carriers in the U.S. has begun sending a new software update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra flagships.

Verizon is now rolling out a new firmware update that installs the latest Android security patch released in October 2020 for Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series smartphones.

It comes with build versions: N981USQU1BTJ3 and N986USQU1BTJ3 for the Galaxy Note 20 5G and Note 20 Ultra 5G. You can check the official update log below.

What’s changing:

The current software update provides system enhancements and the most up to date Android security patches on your device.

According to the changelog, other than the October 2020 security patch, this update brings system enhancements to increase the user experience.

Samsung has already started the Android 11 based One UI 3.0 public beta program for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra devices in different countries including the U.S. After the successful beta testing, Samsung One UI 3.0 update may soon arrive for these smartphone users who are currently running on One UI 2.5 in the country.
