Samsung Galaxy S10 series collecting October 2020 security patch in Canada

Samsung Galaxy S10 series smartphones are now receiving a new software update with the latest security patch in Canada. This update installs the October 2020 security patch to level up the security of your device.

This update is now rolling out by several carriers in the country including Rogers, Fido Mobile, Telus, and Bell Mobile. Last month, the carrier-locked devices have got the major Android 10 based One UI 2.5 update with a set of new features.

Software versions:
  • G970WVLS4ETJ1 – Galaxy S10e
  • G973WVLS4ETJ1 – Galaxy S10
  • G975WVLS4ETJ1 – Galaxy S10+

Apart from the October 2020 security patch, this new firmware update doesn’t bring any new features of system improvements.

Well, the Galaxy users of Canada get the update after completion of the global rollout or around 1 month late from the international variants. Samsung One UI 3.0 is under testing for the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 series. Once the beta testing completes, the company will start sending stable build for normal users, you will also receive the One UI 3.0 update on your device in the country in the coming future.

Settings > About phone > Software updates > Download and install.
