Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 to feature slimmer design and bigger battery

Samsung is going to launch its next foldable smartphones in the coming months. We have seen several rumors and leaks about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7, revealing specs and design. Now, new information surfaced online indicates that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 to bring exciting upgrades to design and battery.
According to TechManiacs, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be thinner than the previous model, making it easier to hold and carry around. This slimmer design will give it a more modern look.
Moreover, Samsung will also expand its external display. The cover screen, which was 3.4 inches on the Z Flip 6, will now be 4 inches. This means you’ll have more room to see important things while the phone is folded. It makes using the phone in its folded state much more user-friendly.
In addition to a sleeker design, the battery is also getting a boost. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will come with a 4300mAh battery, up from 4,000mAh on the Z Flip 6. This means you can expect better battery life, which allows you to use the phone longer without worrying about charging.
However, the charging speed might stay the same, so you won’t see faster charging with this model. Aside from this, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor, a 50MP main camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide camera.
With these key upgrades, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will offer a better design, longer battery life, and improved overall performance. Currently, we can take this information with a grain of salt and wait for Samsung’s official statement. Stay tuned for more information.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 to crush competition in foldable thinness

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 may break foldable thinness records, a new leak suggests. The company is preparing to introduce the next-gen foldable phones in July, while new leaks give us a glimpse at what’s coming this year.
According to TechManiacs, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold7 may be just 8.2mm thick. The report doesn’t specify the unfolded thickness, which was rumored to be nearly 4.5mm in a handful of leaks and reports over the past few weeks.
With this striking dimension, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is going to crush the foldable thinness competition. Oppo Find N5 is 8.9mm thin and leads the competition in terms of sleekness, but not much time is left for the device to keep the crown.
Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. Although it was a limited release, the device has significantly helped the company to experiment with a slimmer design, ultimately paving the way for mainstream models.
Apart from thinness, the Galaxy Z Fold7 may get slightly larger displays. The device is likely to boast an 8-inch inner and a 6.5-inch cover screen. To recall, the Fold6 has a 7.6-inch main and 6.3-inch outer display panel.

The information comes from a credible source but remains unofficial. Samsung will officially reveal the devices in July this year. So for now, you all incredible Samsung fans should take this information with a pinch of salt.

One UI 7 April update triggers battery issues on Galaxy S25, S24

Samsung’s One UI 7 update, rolling out this month, brings new features to Galaxy devices. However, Galaxy S24 and S25 users report significant battery drain issues, raising concerns about the update’s impact on performance.
April 2025 update brings smoother animations, enhanced AI tools, and improved security to Galaxy devices. While these changes aimed to elevate user experience, some Galaxy S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra owners noticed a sharp decline in battery life.
Robin noticed that the battery’s performance has sharply declined on his S25 Ultra after the April 2025 update. He figured out a battery life decline of approximately 20%, leading him to seek feedback on X to verify the difference.
Surprisingly, this sentiment echoes across social platforms, with users frustrated by the reduced performance.
A Galaxy S24 Ultra owner commented, “Before, I charged once per day. Now I’m charging two to three times per day”. Another Galaxy S24 user noted that while design and AI improved, battery life suffered significantly.
Similar complaints surfaced from other users. One S24 user stated, “After the One UI 7.0 update, the battery drains faster”. It seems the Galaxy S24 FE is also affected by a possible bug, with the user reporting “battery drains fast after the April update”.
Samsung has not yet issued an official statement on the April 2025 battery concerns. Users are encouraged to report problems via the Samsung Members app for faster resolution.

Apple iPhone 17 may close the gap with Galaxy S25, 12GB RAM likely

Apple is reportedly considering bringing 12GB RAM to the upcoming iPhone 17 models, which would ultimately match Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series. Notably, the deal concerned isn’t done yet, as the adoption depends on the supply chain.
Samsung launched the 16GB Galaxy S25 Ultra exclusively for certain markets, but Global units pack 12GB RAM across the lineup; Apple is trying to catch up to the Galaxy S25 series with its iPhone 17 series coming in the second half.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that Apple would be using 12GB RAM in at least three iPhone 17 models. The company also wants a RAM upgrade in the vanilla model, but “potential supply shortages remain a concern.”
If the iPhone 17 misses out on a RAM upgrade this year, it will be inevitable in the iPhone 18 series. Kuo claims that the entire iPhone 18 lineup is expected to be equipped with 12GB of RAM, continuing the push coming this year.
The latest iPhone 16, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max models come with 8GB of RAM. As Apple is debuting AI features in collaboration with OpenAI, there’s indeed a requirement for more RAM to handle the execution and on-device processing.
Larger RAM ensures seamless functionality across the OS. It would surely bring a performance jump to the iPhone 17 models. Integrated with Apple’s chipset, the new iPhones will give tough competition to Android rivals, including the S25 series.
