[Update: A new build available] Breaking: Samsung Galaxy Note 9 started receiving One UI 2.5 update

UPDATE:

The Galaxy Note 9 is getting a new One UI 2.5 update. The software version of this new update is N960FXXU6FTJ5. It has the same changelog as the N960FXXU6FTJ3 and adds the October 2020 security patch.

One UI 2.5 was initially introduced with Galaxy Note 20 series and made its way to a number of previous devices including the Galaxy S20, S10, and Note 10 series. This version of One UI offers various new features for simplicity and improves user experience.

But now, there’s big news coming from RPRNA for the Galaxy Note 9 because Samsung has started to rollout One UI 2.5 for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 beginning with the European market, Germany. The software version of this update is N960FXXU6FTJ3. It also adds the October 2020 security patch.

For the users outside of Germany, Samsung will gradually start rolling out the One UI 2.5 to its eligible devices including Galaxy S and Galaxy Note smartphones.

One UI 2.5 is based on Android 10 and offers many new features including new camera features, DeX, gesture navigation, and more.

If you want to check for the update manually, just head into the device Settings and tap on the Software update menu and go for the Download and install option.
