Samsung kick off One UI 2.1 (Android 10) rollout for Galaxy Tab A tablets

Recently, Sprint U.S. started rolling out October 2020 security patch update to its carrier-locked Galaxy Tab A devices. Now the unlocked variants started receiving a new software update with a major Android OS upgrade and lots of features.

According to the latest information, Galaxy Tab A devices getting Android 10 based One UI 2.1 update with a software version of T590XXU3CTI4. This update currently rolling in Australia and should soon be available widely for other countries. Moreover, the update also installs September 2020 security patch to provide better device security.

The update brings Android 10 upgrade from Android 9 Pie. The major One UI update brings a number of new features and improvements. The Dark mode features enhanced image, text, and color adjustments for day and night environments. Now you can enable dark wallpapers, widgets, and alarms while Dark mode is on.

One UI 2.1 brings smoother animations for your better device experience, full-screen gestures added. You can navigate comfortably on a large screen with minimal finger movement. One-handed mode added with this update to work on your device using only one hand like a smartphone.

After updating your device to the latest update many services of your device will enhance like better text over wallpapers, media, and devices, device care, digital wellbeing, camera, Samsung Internet, contacts, reminder, my files, and calculator.

One UI 2 upgrade with Android 10

One UI 2 brings you Android 10, with exciting new features from Samsung and Google based on feedback from users like you.
We recommend that you back up your important data to keep it safe during the upgrade.
Some apps, including Calculator, Samsung Internet, Samsung Health and Samsung Notes, need to be updated individually after you update your OS.

Here’s what’s new.

Dark mode
– Enhanced image, text, and color adjustments for day and night environments.
– Darkened wallpapers, widgets, and alarms while Dark mode is on.

Icons and colors
– Clearer app icons and system colors.
– Improved layouts for titles and buttons to eliminate wasted screen space.

Smoother animations
– Enhanced animations with a playful touch.

Full screen gestures
– Added new navigation gestures.

Refined interactions
– Navigate more comfortably on large screens with minimal finger movement.
– Easily focus on what matters with clearly highlighted buttons.

One-handed mode
– New ways to access One-handed mode: double tap the Home button or swipe down in the center of the bottom of the screen.
– Settings moved to Settings > Advanced features > One-handed mode.

Accessibility
– High contrast keyboards and layouts for large text have been improved.
– Listen to live speech and display it as text.

Better text over wallpapers
– See text more clearly against wallpaper, as One UI automatically adjusts font colors based on light and dark areas and color contrast in the image below.

Media and devices
– Replaced the SmartThings panel with the Media and Devices.
– Media: Control music and videos playing on your tablet as well as other devices.
– Devices: Check and control your SmartThings devices directly from the quick panel.

Device care
– The battery usage graph now provides more detailed information.

Digital wellbeing
– Set goals to keep your tablet usage in check.
– Use Focus mode to help avoid distractions from your tablet.
– Keep an eye on your kids with new parental controls.

Camera
– Added the ability to edit the modes that appear at the bottom of the screen.
– Provided a More tab so you can quickly access hidden modes from the preview screen.
– Improved the layout so you can focus on taking pictures without the settings getting in the way.

Internet
– Customize the quick menu to get instant access to the features you use the most.
– Get more information from the app bar.
– Install add-ons from the Galaxy Store to get even more features.

Samsung Contacts
– Added Trash feature for Contacts. Contacts that you delete will stay in the trash for 15 days before being deleted forever.

Calendar
– Stickers can be added to a date without creating an event.
– Ringtones can be used for event alerts.

Reminder
– More options are available for repeating reminders.
– Set location-based reminders for a specific period of time.
– Share reminders with your family group and other sharing groups.
– Set reminders for a specific date without an alert.

My Files
– Created a Trash feature so you can restore files if you delete something by mistake.
– Added more filters you can use while searching to help you find things quickly.
– You can now copy or move multiple files and folders to different destinations at the same time.

Calculator
– Android Auto is now preloaded.

A new software update brings major camera features from One UI 2.1 to the Galaxy M31

Samsung Galaxy M31 is launched with Android 10 OS and powered by Exynos 9611 Chipset. After the launch in March 2020, the device has received numerous software updates. The latest update brings something special to the Galaxy M31 device.

According to the changelog, the update brings the major camera features from One UI 2.1. It includes an impressive Single Take camera mode and Night hyperlapse feature. It also adds the My filters mode in your camera app.

In addition to the new camera features, it adds the September 2020 security patch to your device. The overall stability of your device has also improved with the latest software update.

Last month, Samsung gave the One UI 2.1 update to the Galaxy M31 but it didn’t include the camera-specific features. The software version of the last update was M315FXXU2ATI4. The software version of this new update is M315FXXU2ATIB and comes with 400MB size.

If you want to check for the update manually, just go to your device Settings then tap on the Software update menu and you can download it by tapping the Download and install option.

Samsung Galaxy M21 getting One UI 2.1 update with new camera features and more

Samsung has released One UI 2.1 update for Samsung Galaxy M21, this new software is based on Android 10 and brings new camera features including my filters, single take, night hyperlapse, and system security improvements.

The latest update for Galaxy M21 comes with a build number of M215FXXU2ATI9 with a big package size of 1292MB. It comes with features such as Quick Share and Music Share as well as September 2020 security patch.

Samsung was started sending Android 10 update to its Galaxy Tab S4 before three months. The device got Android 10 update in France first, after that the update available in other countries and regions.

Now the Verizon sending Android 10 based One UI 2.1 update to its Galaxy Tab S4 users in the US. Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 getting a new update with a build number T837VVRU4CTH6. The update has a major Android update with many new features.
