Verizon sending 5G Nationwide support to its Galaxy A51 in the U.S. with September 2020 security patch

It’s the third week of October but some of the carriers locked devices in the United States receiving the September 2020 security patch update, Galaxy A51 is one of them.

According to the information, one of the top U.S. carriers Verizon has begun a new software update with a build version of A516VSQU1BTI9. It brings carriers 5G Nationwide access and a September 2020 security patch update for better security of your device.

Now you will see a 5G icon when you’re in Verizon’s 5G Nationwide coverage area. The 5G Nationwide support is available in 1,800+ cities in the United States.

You can check for the latest software update manually:

  • Tap Settings > Software update > Download and install.
  • Wait for the device to check for updates.
  • Tap OK > Start.
  • When the restart message appears, tap OK.
