Samsung launched Galaxy Tab Active 3 with S pen, IP68 waterproof, removable battery and more
Samsung has officially released its Galaxy Tab Active 3 tablet with an 8.0-inch 1080P IPS screen. The device is powered with a powerful Exynos 9810 processor, 4GB RAM, and up to 128GB internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab Active 3 tablet uses a rubber case, a 5050mAh long-lasting replaceable battery that supports USB-C and POGO fast charging. In the camera department, Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.
Tab Active3 now supports “No Battery Mode” for power without a battery weighing around 429 grams as well as 1.5 meters fall protection. It is equipped with the Android 10 operating system.
Additional Tab Active3 Features Include:
- Capture Everything: The 13MP rear camera provides perfect clarity for both taking pictures or scanning detailed documents. The 5MP front camera is ideally suited to video or conference calls.
- Augmented Reality: Google ARCore is now supported and enables new augmented reality services, such as remote training.
- Quick Access: The Active Key on the side of the device allows instant access to the apps or programs used most often; great for emergency calls, scanning or Push to Talk6 and so much more.
- Retail Ready: Galaxy Tab Active3 is optimized for camera-based barcode scanning to help retailers easily manage inventory and scan products for purchase.7 The Tab Active 3 also supports NFC with EMV Level 1 for payment.8
- Touch Sensitivity: When turned on in the settings, Touch Sensitivity allows professionals to continue using the Tab Active3 while wearing gloves.9 No more time spent taking gloves on and off.
- IP68 Certified S Pen: Perfect for signature capture and managing complex documents in gloved environments. The S-Pen is also water and dust resistant.
Availability:
The new Galaxy Tab Active3 will be available in select markets starting today. It will not be limited to Europe and Asia, with availability expanding to other regions at a later date.

On June 2nd, Samsung met Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Egypt, and agreed to establish a new smartphone factory in the country. Both parties agreed on the construction of a smartphone factory across 6,000 square meters in Beni Suef.
According to the information, the new Samsung smartphone factory, which will establish in Egypt, will create about 1,400 direct and indirect job opportunities. In addition, it is planned that the factory’s construction will begin in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Samsung provides Rugged Galaxy devices that meet the needs of industries that demand reliable, durable, and powerful mobile devices under a variety of working conditions, even in the harshest environments. Recently, by testing the durability of the Rugged lineup, construction contractor Murray Kruger conveys that the Samsung Galaxy XCover 6 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro are capable of surviving harsh construction conditions.
Kruger has been in business for 22 years and started his own contracting company in 2012. It specializes in insurance repairs and renovations, possibly one of the harshest construction environments with smoke, ash, clogged basements, toxic fumes, and below-freezing temperatures.
According to a 2022 survey by Samsung Electronics Canada of Toronto Building Society members, more than 40% of respondents believe their current mobile devices cannot cope with their work environment.
Both the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro are IP68 rated and meet the MIL-STD-810H standard for harsh environment durability. The devices are scratch-resistant, water- and dust-resistant, can withstand drops of up to 1.5 meters, and can function in extreme altitudes and temperatures.
The advanced Gloves Mode allows the screens of both devices to remain touch-responsive even if the user is wearing leather gloves. Even, the staff of Kruger Construction also noted that both devices provide excellent connectivity even behind steel barricades or in flooded basements. Galaxy XCover 6 Pro exclusively supports 5G and Wi-Fi 6E for ultra-fast connectivity.
Through both the Samsung rugged devices, the construction crew got creative. Krugers puts several tests but the performance of these devices exceeded expectations.
