Samsung annual Developer Conference canceled due to Covid-19 pandemic

Samsung has been canceled its upcoming developer conference this year for the first time in five years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The company officially confirmed that this year’s Developer Conference event canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company is committed to finding alternatives to keep the developer community in the circle with future developments and important news and updates.

Samsung Developer Conference focuses on building a developer’s community around the company’s hardware and software ecosystem. The company showcased the flip-style foldable phone in last year’s SDC.

Samsung on its developer website said:

“Please be advised, the Samsung Developer Conference in 2020 has been canceled. We are disappointed that we will not be hosting the event this year and getting the chance to interact directly with you. Our top priority is the health and safety of our employees, the developer community, partners, and local communities and in making this decision, we are following the latest guidance from state and local authorities. Be assured, we remain committed to finding ways to keep the developer community informed on our latest platform updates. We will continue to share important news and useful resources through our developer website and community forums.”

Even, Samsung held two virtual Galaxy Unpacked events to launch its new products. The company will hold another Unpacked event on September 23. Samsung could launch Galaxy S20 Fan Edition in its upcoming event.
